Rory James is a Los Angeles-based comedian who has been doing standup for over 10 years. In November 2025, he’ll release his first full-length stand-up special “Rory James: Acquired Taste” on Comedy Dynamics.

 

Rory is the host of the long-running podcast “I’M SUPER EXCITED with Rory James” that launched in 2018 and has never missed a week. He chronicles his misadventures in modern dating, sex, and growing up with the unique perspective of a homogay with a Boston-born edge (but NOT the accent). He has performed in fancy places like The Comedy Store, The Hollywood Improv, and The Laugh Factory. He’s also done standup-up at less glamorous venues…. like the bar that makes the comedians compete for the audience’s attention with the porn playing on screens behind the stage.
